Vendue neuve en Italie, à Varese, elle a appartenu de 1980 à 2013 au même propriétaire, M. E. Sassi, d'Alessandria. C'est probablement lui qui l'a fait restaurer avant de la céder à un M. Invernizzo, de Tortona, qui l'a lui-même vendue à un spécialiste anglais, Fine Cars. C'est auprès de ce dernier que Staffan Wittmark en a fait l'acquisition, en 2014. Il s'agit d'une enviable version à trappe à huile à l'extérieur. Rappelons que cet aménagement a accompagné à l'époque le déplacement du réservoir d'huile, mais que sa confusion avec la trappe à essence à amené Porsche à le supprimer rapidement. Les survivantes qui en sont dotées sont aujourd'hui rares et recherchées. Grâce à sa restauration de haut niveau la carrosserie de cette voiture, dans sa teinte noire d'origine, est superbe, avec des ouvrants magnifiquement alignés et une peinture impeccable, même si le noir ne pardonne pas les défauts. Le compartiment moteur semble d'origine et le coffre avant est représentatif de la qualité de la restauration. Il contient la trousse à outils ainsi qu'un jeu de sacs de voyage dans le même tissu que celui des sièges et fabriqué par Ferraresi Interni Auto, un des plus grands selliers italiens basé à Ferrare et qui a sans doute restauré l'intérieur de la voiture. Magnifique, l'habitacle est tendu de cuir brun clair avec un tissu assorti, ce qui procure une atmosphère lumineuse. L'ensemble est pratiquement neuf et donne l'impression de n'avoir jamais été utilisé. Cette voiture est accompagnée d'un intéressant dossier historique, avec un certificat d'origine Porsche, un ensemble de documents et factures relatifs à sa vie en Italie, incluant la copie de l’ancien titre de circulation, et un manuel d'utilisation. La dernière révision a été effectuée par Porsche Haninge, en 2020. Sold new at Varese in Italy, from 1980-2013 it belonged to the same owner, E. Sassi from Alessandria. It was probably Sassi who had the car restored before selling it to a Sig. Invernizzo, from Tortona, who in turn sold it to an English specialist, Fine Cars. It was from them that Staffan Wittmark bought it in 2014. It is a desirable version with the wing-mounted oil filler flap. This arrangement went with the relocation at the time of the oil tank, but it could be confused with the fuel filler flap and quickly led Porsche to scrap it. The surviving cars with it are now rare and sought after. Thanks to its high-quality restoration, the bodywork of this car, finished in its original black, is magnificent, with superbly aligned panels and immaculate paint, even though black does not forgive any faults. The engine compartment appears original, while the boot at the front is representative of the standard of the restoration. It contains the tool kit as well as a set of travel bags in the same fabric used for the seats made by Ferraresi Interni Auto, one of the top Italian trimmers, based in Ferrare, who in all probability restored the interior of the car. The magnificent passenger compartment is trimmed in light brown leather with matching cloth, giving it a light and airy feel. The whole car is virtually new and gives the impression that it has never been used. The car comes with an interesting history file with a certificate of origin from Porsche, a set of documents and invoices from its time in Italy (including a copy of its former registration certificate) and an owner’s manual. The last service was carried out by Porsche Haninge in 2020. Superbly restored and from a sought-after model year, this is a prime example for any lovers of this German classic.
