that is the belief of art dealer and valuer Peter van Os.

The true art collector in you may well recognize himself in this statement by Peter van Os:

'I am only interested in art that really touches me. When I look at a work, it should bring me a sense of excitement, cause an increase in my heart rate! With the contemporary artists I represent, it is essential for me to have a deeper relationship, where we know and feel each other personally. Because of the bond we have, I appreciate and understand the extra dimension in their works. Hence my statement that the relationship between the artist and their work must be right and therefore inseparable. That is also directly my criterion for representing, curating and exhibiting a collection.'

Antiques collection

Peter van Os' collection consists of artworks by well-known and lesser-known artists from Europe. Documentation and information on the background of the artworks and the artists is available.

The collection of antiques includes paintings, furniture, topographical maps, Chinese porcelain, Delftware, sculptures, candlesticks, clocks and decorative objects

Modern Art Collection

The Netherlands can be proud of its contemporary artists. Today, they produce high-quality works of art of excellent quality. The contemporary artists in the gallery include: Denis De Gloire, Frank van Driel, Wessel Huisman, Hans Keuls, Hans Kanters and Joost Beerents.

Peter van Os' collection also includes works from the 20th century. Special emphasis in this collection is on the period Art Deco and the 1950s and 1960s.

All these works of art are of course accompanied by documentation

3rd Generation

In 1910, Peter's grandfather, Frans Aalbers, started the Antiques Shop in Arnhem. In 1920, he settled in the Bakkerstraat in Arnhem.

for 3 generations, the van Os family has been a trusted address for trading in European Art and Antiques. It is a business that has passed on from father to son.

Sworn and Certified Registered Appraiser

In 1981, Peter took over the business completely from his father. He completed his studies as a Chartered Surveyor and was sworn in as the youngest Certified Chartered Surveyor in Art and Antiques inNetherlands

He also became a member of the TMV (Federation of Valuers, Brokers and Auctioneers)

Valuations are carried out on behalf of private individuals, insurance companies and museums

International network

The mediation of works of art is another activity in which Peter van Os specialises. Art collectors offer their works for sale in order to be able to further expand and purchase their collection in a certain direction. Peter has excellent insight into the movement in art collections and the current market value.
