JOUENNE Michel (1933-2021). "Le café", Oil on canvas, signed lower left. Size 76 x 100 cm. Framed. In 1969, Mr. Jouenne participated for the first time in the Salon des peintres témoins de leur temps, whose theme that year was "Research and discovery of modern science". In the 1970s, he also taught drawing at the Collège des Ormaux in Fontenay aux Roses (Hauts-de-Seine). Jouenne was appointed painter to the French Navy in 1991. His closest painting colleagues include Maurice Boitel, Daniel du Janerand, Louis Vuillermoz, Pierre-Henry, Jean Carzou, André Hambourg, Emilio Grau Sala, Jean Monneret, Rodolphe Caillaux and Paul Collomb.
