In-8, 19 x 25 cm, XL + 590 pp. with XXVII folded plates, contemporary red morocco binding, triple gilt fillet framing and gilt coat of arms in the center of the boards, ribbed spine decorated with gilt motifs, double gilt fillet at the edges, inner gilt roulette, gilt edges. First edition illustrated with 27 folded engraved plates. A fine copy in red morocco with the coat of arms of King Charles III of Spain from the royal library (small BR wetstamp crowned in red ink on verso of false title, and later Duplicado wetstamp). With two intermediate proofs of the headband at the head of the dedication, engraved by Choffard after Cochin (leaves in-4 and in-8 oblong).
