A Chinese red lacquer box "Nine Dragons", Qing Dynasty, 19th century Round box made of red lacquer. The entire surface elaborately carved with dragon and cloud motifs. Hinged in the center, inside the lid four marks referring to the motif, a Qianlong six-character mark on the base. A few barely noticeable losses and small shrinkage cracks to the edges. Somewhat dusty. Diameter 15.5 cm. Condition: II +
