A rare German sculpture of a late Gothic knight, circa 1500 Oakwood sculpture of a knight on horseback with slight traces of polychrome paint throughout. The knight is clad in contemporary, finely carved armour with raised details, the tack of his sturdy stallion painted red. The bent horse leg and base restored. Small losses here and there, slight worming. Height 52 cm, rare secular sculpture. Condition: II -
