Description
A musketoon, ca. 1780 Smooth bore barrel in 17.5 mm caliber, length 72.5 cm, stamped "S/T/E/O" on the left above the breech (tang somewhat loose). Flintlock with brass pan, on the lock plate manufacturer "D P F & P St. Etienne". Dark full stock with iron furniture, on the right side of the butt stock a circular maker's stamp with a central depiction of a cock and the maker's name all around (difficult to read). Iron ramrod. Iron parts patinated, barrel with a dent in the muzzle area on the right, stock with a repaired crack in the area of the tang. Length 111 cm. Condition: II - III
