India - Miniatures of Shah Jahan and his wife Mumtaz Mahal, as well as five important buildings of the Mughal period. 7 gouaches on paper, each laid behind glass and mounted on firm cardboard on the reverse, decorated in gold on the front. 19th century. Motif dimensions: between 2 x 2 cm and 5 x 6 cm. Dimensions: 18.5 x 25 cm. Handwritten inscription "a little Present to Dr. Landman from his Luis(a) Richter" and typographically inscribed label from "Tetley & Co., Art Dealers & Picture Makers" in Liverpool on a further firm cardboard protecting the work in the frame. - The miniatures appear to be an imitation of the usual miniatures, as these were originally drawn on ivory. - The gold-colored coating on corners and edges more heavily rubbed, the miniatures glued to the cardboard on the reverse several times with various tapes and newspaper remnants, the miniatures in good condition.
