Description

Rare early drawing set with altitude sundial. Germany, around 1750, unmarked, brass and steel, with drawing pen, compass, compasses with various attachments, parallel ruler and a vertical sundial with lead solder, also known as a solar quadrant, set into the lid. In original walnut wooden box lined with wine-red velvet, drawer with further small parts that can be pulled out to the side. Not quite complete, two small parts missing. Dimensions: approx. 20 x 12 x 4.5 cm. A rare and early set of drawing instruments with sundial. Germany c. 1750, not signed, instruments made of brass and steel, in original walnut case. Dimensions c. 20 x 12 x 4.5 cm.
