Fameni. L'innocente en descentrice. Series of 21 original pencil drawings on wove paper. Probably France, around 1940/50. Sheet dimensions: each approx. 31 x 21 cm.
It is not known who is behind the pseudonym "Fameni", also known as "Fameni Leporini". A French artist is suspected. - The 21 original drawings are loose in a paper envelope with a handwritten title and the inscription "Femeni". 20 of the sheets are numbered. Numbers 1-15 are the probably complete series by Fameni known as "Trop d'intérêt", numbers 20-23 and 25 are the series known as "L'inévitable". The unnumbered sheet depicts a "grande orgie". - Somewhat browned and partially minimally stained, the "Orgie" with traces of mounting on the verso and inscribed "Fameni". - Provenance: From the collection of Hans-Jürgen Döpp, Frankfurt.
