Copy: 14/48. black lacquered wooden box (34 x 34 x 15.5 cm) titled on the cover in the original slip lid cardboard box with mounted cover label: 36 x 36 x 16 cm. One of 48 copies, numbered on the cover label and signed and numbered by Bremer in the printing note of the edition brochure. - The woodcuts (30 x 30 cm) signed and dated in gold pencil recto on thin card, 7 of which are mounted on wooden boards. Numbered and signed again in pencil on the verso. - In 1978, H. C. Artmann wrote "sieben Mitteilungen zur schwarzen Kunst" by Uwe Bremer. The text appeared in a portfolio of prints published by the Brockstedt Gallery in Hamburg together with seven color etchings by Bremer. Here Bremer paid tribute to his friend, who died in 2000, with a new portrait and interpreted his text from 1978 in seven new woodcuts - collected in a lockable "magic box" with corresponding text-quoting utensils. - Artmann's "Mitteilungen" is preceded by an essay by Gerhard Rühm. - Impeccable.
