Penck, A. R. 2 teacups with saucers. Colored ceramic. Cups and saucers each signed. Cups: each 6.5 x 14.5 x 12 cm. Saucers: each 0.5 x 17.5 x 17.5 cm. Penck (1939-2017) made the cups and matching saucers after a trip to Israel in 1990 and on the occasion of the first Intifada. The symbolism on the ceramic shows a Jewish design language, such as the Star of David and the menorah. The cups and saucers come from the Droysen Ceramics Gallery & Workshop founded by Kattrin Kühn in Berlin in 1987, which worked with Penck and many other artists such as Elvira Bach, Cornelia Schleime, Lucebert and others. - In good condition.
