White lacquered wooden chair with folding hinges on the rear legs, titled and dated on an engraved white plastic plate on the front edge of the chair. Signed and numbered in black felt-tip pen on a label stamped with the studio address under the seat. Copy: 166/250. 1970. dimensions: 90 x 44 x 42.5 cm (unfolded). Timm Ulrichs (b. 1940) deprives the "first seated chair" of its original function as a piece of seating furniture and gives it a rest, which, however, renders it useless for human use. When the chair is seated, people have no choice but to stand. - The rear legs with felt glides for comfortable sitting, in very good condition.
