Turtle shell surrounded by silver skulls, the interior is also entirely covered in silver. 14 x 9.5 cm. Good condition.
In Tibet, as in India, the turtle is an incarnation, sometimes of a Bodhisattva, sometimes of Vishnu. The turtle is also a symbol of the world, which it carries on its shell.
