After MARCEL COURBIER (France, 1898-1976). "Jean Moulin". Blued bronze. Signed Coubier. Measurements: 12 x 2 x 2 cm. Marcel Louis Maurice Courbier was a French sculptor and medalist. Marcel Courbier moved to Paris to study Law, at the same time that he was enrolled in the School of Fine Arts, in the workshops of the sculptors Jules Coutan. From 1925, he exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français, where he won several prizes: the Grand Prix Roux in 1925, a second-class medal and the Grand Prix National des Beaux-Arts in 1926 for his Jeune fille au chevreau, a gold medal at the 1933 Salon and a gold medal at the Exposition Universelle de Paris.
