Le Temple de Gnide, followed by Arsace et Isménie. Paris, De l'Imprimerie de P. Didot l'aîné, L'an IV, 1796. In-12, long-grained red morocco, right-hand border formed by a roulette between two double fillets crossing at the corners, richly ornamented smooth spine, the caissons decorated with a thousand-point decoration with a small green mosaic pastille, interior roulettes and fillet, light blue moire lining and endpapers, gilt edges (Bozerian). Medallion portrait of the author, engraved by Augustin de Saint-Aubin and printed on the title, and 12 figures, 10 drawn by Regnault and 2 by Le Barbier. A fine copy in large vellum paper with the figures before the letter, bound by Bozerian. Some light and rare freckling.
