BARBEY D'AUREVILLY (Jules)

Two forgotten rhythms. Caen, Imprimerie de F. Le Blanc-Hardel, 1869. Small square in-12, green half-maroquin, gilt numeral on tail, gilt head, untrimmed, cover (Petit). Reprinted in 36 copies. Copy on Hollande laid paper. It belonged to Paul-Louis Arnauldet, a well-informed bibliophile of the period, who had it bound with his cipher and affixed his bookplate engraved by Félix Bracquemond. His library was sold at Drouot in 1878. The latter's brother, Thomas, employed in the Cabinet des Estampes of the Bibliothèque Impériale, was close to Charles Monselet and Baudelaire.
