Second edition, partly original, with 35 poems appearing here for the first time. Missing the portrait of Baudelaire engraved by Bracquemond. Scattered foxing and small wet spots. Cover restored. Spine darkened. The Complément aux Fleurs du mal (Bruxelles, Chez tous les libraires, 1869), which includes the six pieces condemned in August 1857 and removed from the book at the time of publication, has been bound in. Wet stamp of Alfred Mauger's library on the cover and title of this last platelet.
