H. van Poelien (active around 1805), kitchen interior with maid and slaughtered pig.
Watercolor over pencil on chamois-colored wove paper. 1805. 58 x 49.8 cm (sheet size). Signed, dated and inscribed "na(ch) J:Steen" lower left.
Paper somewhat yellowed. Traces of black paint in the upper left and lower right corner (outside the image). A small black stain at the maid's temple. Verso in upper margin with paper remnants of former mounting. In good condition.
Provenance: Private property, Southern Germany.
