Franz Kobell (1749 Mannheim - Munich 1822), Mountain landscape with two women on a path and a waterfall. Pen and brush and brown ink, gray-brown wash, on laid paper. 1807. 17.2 x 21.9 cm. Signed and dated verso. Inscribed once again on the base. Picturesque, southern-looking landscape with finely differentiated tonal values. In contrast to the tiny staffage, the rock face at the right edge of the picture appears particularly sublime. - Mounted old in three corners, with traces of studio on verso. Wavy in upper margin. In good condition.
