SANTA ROSA DE LIMA, FOLLOWING MODELS OF VICENTE BERDUSÁN Y OSORIO (Aragón, 1632 - Tudela, 1697) Oil on canvas It shows the patron saint of America, wearing habits of the order of the Dominican Tertiaries and crowned with flowers in mystical attitude receiving a rose from the Child Jesus. Composition that reminds us of other representations of saints made by the painter Vicente Berdusán between 1670 and 1690, of great counter-reformist imprint and wide repertoire with this mystical theme. His production was so abundant and his style so influential in a long list of artists of the last third of the 17th century that the term "Berdusanism" has been coined. Framed in wood worked in gilt, with slight losses. 104 x 86 cm.
