Elm burl writing table, the rectangular top resting on a belt opening to a drawer supported by sheath legs, MEU fire mark, Restoration furniture mark (three crowned fleurs-de-lis in an oval) and n° 48174 in ink; (cracks and lifts). First third of the 19th century. Height : 74 cm ; Width : 81 cm ; Depth : 48 cm Provenance : Château de Meudon under the Restoration. At the end of the Empire, cabinetmaker François Maigret delivered a series of burrwood furniture for the imperial family at the Château neuf de Meudon.
