RONSARD (Pierre de).

Œuvres [...]. Paris, Nicolas Buon, 1604. 10 volumes in 5 in-12, red chagrin, triple gilt fillet, ornate spine, interior roulette, gilt edges (Binding circa 1840). Ninth official collective edition, or tenth if we include Soubron's pirate edition in Lyon. It was published by Jean Galland, the poet's universal heir, in collaboration with Nicolas Buon and the lawyer-poet Nicolas Richelet. A well-bound copy circa 1840, to which has been added, at the end of the fifth volume, a final volume of the Recueil des sonnets, odes, hymnes, élégies, et autres pièces retranchées... from the Tibout & Rolin Baraigne edition of 1630 (pp. 457-855 and 5 ff. table for this last volume). In Volume II, several quires are short at the head with several running titles and page numbers affected by the binder's knife. Transverse tear without missing leaf B2 in the fifth volume.
