LUTH TURTLE (Dermochelys coriacea) (I/A-CE) pre-convention: old naturalized head with open mouth, mounted on wooden escutcheon; large specimen. Typical curiosity cabinet piece Naturalized before 1930 Length: approx. 46 cm Sold as is, flaking, damaged tongue In accordance with the law and more precisely with Regle CE 338/97 of 09/12/1996, a certificate of expertise will be given to the future purchaser allowing the commercial use of this specimen in the EU. Reptile species of the Dermochelyidae family regulated under the Washington Convention (Cites), Regle CE 338/97 du 09/121996, and the French Code de l'environnement. However, a CITES re-export permit is required if the turtle is to leave the EU. This pelagic marine turtle species is in decline throughout its geographical range.
