A PAIR OF CHINESE CINNABAR LACQUER CUPS AND COVERS, QING DYNASTY each domed cover with an artichoke knop above a fluted collar within a foliate carved border, the cups with deep rounded sides and a spreading circular foot, carved with figures in a landscape, blue enamel interiors and bases. (2) 22cm high The lacquer is a deep, rich colour. Some wear to the edges, which may have been re-touched a long time ago. The carving is deep and well-defined.
