Porcelain, colorfully painted and gilt, standing dancer in exotic costume with raised right leg, the oval, stepped plinth supporting the gilt figure of a lohan, the plinth with two lines of embossed artist's signature "C. HOLZER-DEFANTI", the base with underglaze green manufacturer's mark "Rosenthal SELB BAVARIA" and painter's signature "A. Geigenmüller" in gold, h 33.5 cm, designed by Constantin Holzer - Defanti (1891 - 1951) in 1919 (model no. 566), produced by Rosenthal's Selb art department in 1931, 1st choice, painted by Adolf Geigenmüller. Choice, painted by Adolf Geigenmüller (active in Selb 1922 - 1932), very good condition with slightest traces of use, undamaged and unrestored 4732 Reference: Emmy Niecol 2001, Rosenthal Kunst- und Zierporzellan 1897 - 1945, vol.
