Zwei Schwarzburg - Figuren

a) Figure "Girl with doll", porcelain unpainted, seated girl with doll on octagonal plinth, on the front of the plinth embossed, indistinct artist's signature "O.THIEM", the unglazed base with embossed manufactory mark (stoking fox with two-line word mark "Schwarzburger Werk - stätten für Porzellankunst") and model number "U8", h 16.5 cm, base 15.8 x 17.4 cm, designed by Otto Thiem (1876 - 1956) in 1906 and b) "Baby mit Rassel" figure, buff-colored porcelain, unpainted, naked baby lying on her stomach with toy on rectangular plinth, the unglazed base with embossed double manufactory mark (stoking fox) and incised model number "54", l 25 cm, designed by Adolf Karl Röhrig (1886 - 1972), 1913, both made by Schwarzburger Werkstätten für Porzellankunst probably in the 1910s, the base of a) with a firing crack, otherwise both in very good condition with no significant signs of use, each undamaged and unrestored, 4744 Lit.Wilhelm Siemen (ed.) 1993, Schwarzburger Werkstätten für Porzellankunst, page 222, no. 226 (with illustration) and page 298, no. 2309 and page 355, no. 558
