Volkstedt - Figur "Gudrun"
a) Porcelain, painted in color underglaze, squatting nude with raised arms on an oval base, embossed artist's signature "A.W. Goebel", underglaze blue manufacturer's mark (windmill mark) on the base, h 32 cm, designed by August Wilhelm Goebel (1883 - 1973) in 1924, executed by Karl Ens Volkstedt in the late 1920s, very good condition with no significant signs of use, undamaged and unrestored 4745 At the Great Düsseldorf Art Exhibition in 1924, the sculptor August Wilhelm Goebel showed a marble version of "Gudrun", which was illustrated in Velhagen & Klasings Monatshefte (issue 39 for 1924), a bronze cast of the sculpture was shown at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition in 1928
