Solid oak and lightly carved, rectangular box with wide front studs and flat lid, horizontal carved bands on the front and sides, symmetrical decoration of stylized horses with flaming tails on the front, fantasy animals standing on the studs between the tails, studs and front inscribed and dated "ANNO JOHAN HERMAN ELLERBROCK 1737", large butterfly lock with forged rosettes on the front, three wide bands with forged rosettes on the lid, long lock bow on the central band, Johann Herman Ellerbrock Werther 1737, Werther 1737, HBT 57 x 175 x 60 cm, lock fully functional with original key, front runners replaced, otherwise in good original condition with traces of use 7201 Johann Hermann Ellerbrock (1713 - 1785) from Werther married on 19th October 1737.
