Model (with the name of Duke Carl), Silver-gilt and Gold, partly enameled, obverse centered Wolfenbüttler horse and "CARL FRIEDRICH AUGUST WILHELM" in the cross arms, reverse centered "1809" and "FÜR TREUE UND TAPFERKEIT" in the cross arms, between the cross arms enameled oak leaves, square eyelet with grooved ribbon ring, 46 x 31 mm, on original blue ribbon, award copy, cross in very good original condition, overall good condition with minor signs of age and wear 0666 This extremely rare award comes from the property of Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Butze (Sandau 1782 - 1852 Sandau), who joined the troops of the so-called "Black Duke" Friedrich Wilhelm Butze during the Napoleonic Wars.
