Cast and engraved brass grip, multiple openwork basket with cruciform guard, large thumb ring on the obverse side, leather-covered grip with eagle's head and tight winding of smooth brass wire, broad biconvex blade with double-edged edge and short, rounded point, minimal ricasso of a few millimeters, smith's mark "POTZDAM" (0.5 x 2.4 cm) on the obverse side of the hilt, blade l 88.5 cm, w 3.9 cm, total l 104.5 cm, weight 1.540 gr, Prussia/Potsdam probably ~1750, overall good, seemingly untouched condition with minor signs of age and use, not tested 0117 Lit.: Bernd A.
