Breastplate of a cuirass for members of the Hanoverian Guards Cuirassier Regiment, black lacquered cast steel with brass trim and rivets, large crowned star with the "Hanoverian Horse" and motto "NEC ASPERA TERRENT" applied to the center, button-shaped rivets on the sides, a jute band running around the back, stamped "140" inside, h 47 cm, w 35 cm, weight 5,360 gr, Hanover mid-19th century, overall good, unrestored original condition with signs of age and wear, one rivet on the collar left missing 0144
