Cast brass grip, multiple openwork basket with a crowned lion standing on a shell-set pedestal, leather-covered grip with spherical pommel and wide winding of twisted brass wire, broad, biconvex, tapered blade with double-edged edge without ricasso, floral engraving on both sides of the hilt, smith's mark (double cross) on both sides, blade l 81.5 cm, w 3.6 cm, total l 97 cm, weight 1.040 gr, Hesse probably mid 18th century, overall good, seemingly untouched condition with signs of age and use, blade more rusty, etching indistinct, not tested 0119
