Iron forged, chiselled and punched, heavy, broad blade with single-edged edge and forged grip with revolving grip band and staghorn scales on both sides, grip band with chiselled tendrils and blossoms, cut scroll band on the back of the blade, blade richly inscribed on both sides, on the obverse side Christian acronyms, names and symbols "INRI", "IHS" "MARIA" and JOSEPH" as well as cross and flaming heart, on the reverse side house mark? (chamois ram), year and owner's name "1808 Sebästian EisenJöst", l 30.7 cm, South Germany before 1808, missing on the reverse of the blade, otherwise good condition 1702
