Raupenhelm model 1868 Bavarian hunter's chenille helmet, black wool chenille (insolate), leather bomber and chinstrap (inside pencil markings and remnant of name tag), visor edged with brass snap ring, gilded front plate with King Ludwig II of Bavaria's cypher under royal crown, on the right-hand side, blue-white-blue cockade in Bavarian colors, chinstrap held by two lion's heads, light canvas interior held in place by a cord, headgear worn, superb presentation, Bavaria second half of the 19th century.
