Double hemisphere celestial map based on the work of Hevelius. Banner with map key representing the size of the stars. Surrounded by six circular diagrams; three representing the planetary systems by Tycho Brache, Ptolemaeus and Copernicus as well as a diagram of how the moon affects the tides, a diagram of lunar phases and a representation of the earth's orbit around the sun by Philippe van Lansberge. Peter Schenk copied this map in his "Atlas Contractus" but with "coeleste" instead of "caeleste" in the map title.
