Breast portrait of the Saxon Elector August I of Saxony, called "the Strong", as King of Poland-Lithuania August II (1670-1733), the ruler is depicted with a luxurious allonge wig and armour, with an ermine coat over his shoulder and the Order of the Golden Fleece, pastel on paper and stretched on canvas with an oval wooden frame, late 19th century, Signature "R. H. Armbruster" partially concealed by the framing on the right, minimally rubbed, framed under glass (bumped) behind passepartout with oval picture section, dimensions of the picture section approx. 66.5 x 47 cm.
